Big Red Kidney Walk - Perth

  • 8:00am: Participants arrive, on-day registraions open
  • 9:00am: Walk begins
  • 11:00am: Complimentary BBQ and entertainment for all walk participants

The Big Red Kidney Walk in Perth will feature two walking distances to accommodate walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels and will include 2.5km and 5km routes along the Swan River.
How to get there

By car
There are several carparks within walking distance to the event. They are located: Taylor St, Victoria Park; Gloucester Street, Victoria Park, Ellam Street, Victoria Park and South Perth, Burswood Road, Burswood; Hawthorne Place, Burswood; Harper Street, Victoria Park and Albany Highway, Victoria Park.

By train

By bus
Taking the bus to the event is easy with several bus stops located convenient to the park along Canning Highway. For timetables, routes and other information, visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au

By ferry
Ferries run between the Barrack St Jetty and South Perth. After the ride across the Swan River, it is only a brief walk to the event.

Victoria Park is located on the Swan River and is adjacent to many walking paths. From Perth, the event is only a 20 minute walk over the Causeway.

Dogs are welcome on the route, but must be on a 2 meter lead and well supervised by their owner (including picking up after them). Kidney Health Australia will not take responsibility for any dogs at the event.

Post-walk celebration
After the walk concludes, Kidney Health Australia will hold a complimentary BBQ for walk participants. The event will include a sausage sizzle and entertainment for the whole family. Some seating will be provided, but walkers are welcome to bring their own chairs or picnic blankets.
